The development of Sven Mahn IT at a glance

What began in 1999 with Sven Mahn as an independent IT service provider has developed over the years into a highly specialized company with around 40 employees. First-hand experience, in-depth expert knowledge and a clear focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP characterize the company's path. Today, Sven Mahn IT supports national and international companies with individual solutions, sound advice and comprehensive power platform expertise in the successful digitalization of their business processes - in partnership, future-oriented and always at the cutting edge of technology.

  • 2024Sven Mahn IT becomes
    Microsoft Solutions Partner

    After almost 20 years in the Microsoft Dynamics business, Sven Mahn IT will become a Microsoft Solutions Partner I Business Applications at the end of November 2024.

  • 2023Changes in the management

    Marc Thormählen will become a member of the Management Board in April 2023.
    In October of the same year, Holm Moser leaves the company.

  • 2022Release of the SMIT test management tool Sören

    In December 2022, Sven Mahn IT is launching the new test management tool Sören. Sören provides efficient support for test managers and offers decisive advantages in terms of flexibility, speed and commitment when creating and executing test cases.

  • 2021Expansion of the management board

    Stefan Falkenhagen will be appointed to the Management Board in April 2021.

  • 11/2020Release of SMIT ConfigBridge

    Sven Mahn IT has released SMIT ConfigBridge for Microsoft Dynamics 365, an extension for Azure DevOps that automates the configuration of Dynamics 365 systems and accelerates the entire configuration, release and test management process.

  • 10/2020Release of SMIT billwerkConnector

    Sven Mahn IT publishes the SMIT billwerkConnector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 interface on Microsoft AppSource.

  • 03/2020Release of SMIT RapidKit

    Sven Mahn IT launches the SMIT RapidKit for Microsoft Dynamics 365. As an Azure DevOps extension, the SMIT RapidKit offers a one-click setup of your Dynamics 365 financial accounting system and enables a secure start to your ERP implementation project without any effort on your part. The SMIT RapidKit can also be used to carry out an efficient and comprehensive proof of concept.

  • 02/2020Release of SMIT GetFitKit

    Sven Mahn IT publishes the SMIT GetFitKit for Microsoft. As a training solution for training and certification, the SMIT Get FitKit provides future Dynamics users with comprehensive and early training in theory and practice. In this way, users get the best possible start with their new Dynamics system.

  • 2019Release of SMIT TestCaseHub

    In July, Sven Mahn IT releases the SMIT TestCaseHub for Azure DevOps/TFS on the Azure DevOps Marketplace. The SMIT TestKit Shop opened in 2017 is merged into the SMIT TestCaseHub.

  • 2018Foundation of the product development department

    The product development department at Sven Mahn IT is set up in February to expand the development of Dynamics products. From now on, it develops additional solutions that optimize the quality assurance and productivity of Dynamics.

  • 2017Launch of the SMIT TestKit Shop

    In July, Sven Mahn IT opens the SMIT TestKit Shop, the first online store for test cases. The store is later merged into SMIT TestCaseHub.

  • 2016Sven Mahn becomes Sven Mahn IT

    In January, Sven Mahn GmbH & Co KG is renamed Sven Mahn IT GmbH & Co KG. The addition of "IT" to the name of the company founder and managing director is intended to adapt the company name to the current circumstances of the company: Following the dynamic growth of the last 10 years, the 50-employee mark is reached for the first time at the beginning of the year.

  • 2015Presentation of SMIT TestKit

    The SMIT TestKit for Microsoft Dynamics will be presented at the SMIT JubileeConvention on the occasion of the company's 10th anniversary in June. The SMIT TestKit contains a collection of logical test cases for standard Dynamics processes. This makes it easy to reduce the personnel and time required for testing in implementation projects. In addition, the SMIT TestKit provides the possibility of early and continuous quality assurance and thus a fast go-live of an optimized Dynamics system.

  • 2013Company merger

    In August, the sister company AX Kompetenz-Zentrum UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co KG merges with Sven Mahn GmbH & Co KG.

  • 2012All signs point to growth

    In August, Sven Mahn UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co. KG is renamed Sven Mahn GmbH & Co. KG to reflect the company's positive development.
    Holm Moser also joins the company as Managing Director in August.

  • 08/2011Company headquarters in Poppenbüttel, Hamburg

    Just one and a half years after the last move, the company is due to relocate again due to its rapid growth. In August, Sven Mahn UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co KG moves to Poppenbüttel. The new business premises are located at Saseler Damm 43-45, from where Sven Mahn IT still operates today.

  • 05/2011Foundation of the AX Competence Center

    In May, Sven Mahn founds AX Kompetenz-Zentrum UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co KG due to the ever-increasing demand for technical services. The company is part of Sven Mahn UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co. KG and focuses on technical support and programming of individual software for Dynamics AX.

  • 2010Company headquarters in Bahrenfeld, Hamburg

    In January, Sven Mahn UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co. KG. relocates its headquarters to Gasstraße 6 in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld.

  • 2009Change of name and change of legal form

    Sven Mahn IT-Systementwicklungen e. K. is converted into Sven Mahn UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co KG.

  • 2008Microsoft Gold Certified Partner

    Sven Mahn IT-Systementwicklungen is initially converted into an e. K.. The company is also awarded Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status for the first time.

  • 2007Company headquarters in Langenhorn, Hamburg

    Sven Mahn IT-Systementwicklungen moves to Langenhorner Chaussee due to the rapidly growing number of employees.

  • 2005Foundation

    Sven Mahn founds Sven Mahn IT-Systementwicklungen as a freelancer with a focus on consulting and development for Microsoft Axapta - the predecessor of Dynamics AX.

  • 1999Starting out as a freelancer

    Sven Mahn starts offering IT services as a freelancer.
